Encircled by 250 Alpine summits higher than three thousand meters, summer holidays in Ötztal promise heaps of fun and activities for walkers, hikers, cyclists, bikers and nature explorers of all ages. Right at the center of Ötztal you can choose from a huge range of leisure time programs. And what's best, fabulous Camping Ötztal Längenfeld nestles in a unique location. Those in search of rest and relaxation are warmly welcome to our campsite which makes a perfect starting point for tours to the picturesque Ötztal Alps.

In summer our guests also enjoy free admission to the adjacent outdoor swimming pool (heated) of Längenfeld. As we are a partner lodging of the Ötztal Nature Park, all guests can take part in free guided walks, hiking tours, lectures and varied events. Furthermore we are an Aqua Dome partner lodging and you get a 10% discount on spa center tickets. The lovely campsite boasts many more attractions like a children's playground with ping-pong and table soccer. In close vicinity to Camping Ötztal Längenfeld there are 2 beach volleyball fields, a football field, a street soccer area, a children's playground with ping-pong table and tennis courts.

Hiking in Ötztal

The central part of Ötztal Valley is renowned for its magnificent network of walking trails and hiking paths for all ability levels. Choose from some 150 kilometers of marked hiking routes spread all over and above the green plain of Längenfeld's valley basin, surrounded by the mighty peaks of the Ötztal and Stubai Alps. Among the undisputed highlights rank several panoramic hikes at medium altitude. Camping Ötztal Längenfeld makes an ideal base for walks, hiking tours and high Alpine peak conquests.

The heated outdoor pool of Längenfeld is located in the immediate vicinity and offers free admission. The pool area includes spacious sunbathing areas, a café, a children's pool and a water slide.

Pure relaxation at the AQUA DOME - Tirol Therme Längenfeld
The Aqua Dome, the Tirol Therme Längenfeld, is located about 200 metres away (2-minute walk) and is the best thermal spa resort in the Alps. The Aqua Dome will help you forget your everyday worries and relax from head to toe. Float in the 12 indoor and outdoor pools with 34-36 °C warm water. Find peace and quiet in the specially designed lounge oases. Dive in and enjoy the incredible mountain backdrop at the Aqua Dome thermal baths.

Action in the AREA47
Feel your heart pounding – the AREA47 adventure and water park near Haiming (only 20 minutes away by car) is the outdoor arena for adventure, fun and thrills in Tyrol. In summer, the water area of the amusement park invites you to unlimited water fun: wakeboarding, blobbing or on the water jump in the middle of the Tyrolean mountains. Experience the perfect combination of sport and nature - in the AREA47!

Experience nature at Lake Piburger See
Bathing pleasure in the only natural bathing lake in the Ötztal. The bathing area at the southern end of the lake has a lakeside restaurant and terrace, sunbathing area and rafts in the middle of Lake Piburg. Additional rowing boat hire. Barrier-free access to the lake available. 15 minutes by car from the campsite.

Mountain Bike Routes

Experiences in nature and sporting highlights – that's what makes up the fine mix for mountain bikers and road cyclists. Every year, the range of offers for cyclists is improved and made more attractive. Cycling events with cult status are known far beyond the country's borders. The Ötztal is also perfect for e-hiking – a combination of e-bike tours and hikes. The Ötztal is known for being able to offer the right thing for every type of cyclist.

With the opening of the Bike Republic Sölden, the Ötztal has finally lost its status as an insider tip for single and flow trails... Word of mouth quickly spread the news about the unique biking attraction that has been created in Sölden: the vision is to create a distinctive place for bikers in the Alps. Tour bikers on the countless routes, flow fans on surfy lines, enduro riders exploring the many trails - every biker should feel at home. All information about the Bike Republic can be found here.

A sophisticated network of trails, specially designed for mountain bikers, opens up a wealth of scenic and sporting highlights. 40 kilometres of signposted bike routes invite you to take extensive tours over hill and dale. You can find all tours and details about the routes here.

Mountain bikers are very welcome at our campsite in Längenfeld in the Ötztal valley. You can lock your bikes in the bike storage room free of charge.

Climbing in Längenfeld

30 climbing gardens with around 750 routes and 8 via ferratas – the Ötztal is THE granite climbing area.
In Längenfeld alone, two spectacular via ferratas await you. The Reinhard Schiestl via ferrata in the Burgsteiner Wand will impress friends of ropes and carabiners just as much as the Jubiläums-Steig at the Lehner waterfall. The unique combination of sporting and visual delights makes the typical sport climbing routes near the valley a must for many tour recommendations. In addition, there are over 300 climbing routes in the two climbing gardens for beginners and professionals.
The two climbing gardens and the via ferrata in Längenfeld are easily accessible from the campsite in 5-20 minutes on foot.

Canyoning

Thanks to Ötztal's countless ravines, waterfalls and mountain brooks the area makes a heaven for ambitious canyoning fans. Differently structured gorges offer easy to difficult tours also for less experienced sportsmen and women, ranging from beginners routes also suitable for children to challenging tours like Auerklamm in Oetz with jumps from a height of up to 16 meters. Canyoning promises unrivaled fun due to a wonderful combination of water and rocks, hiking and climbing, abseiling and jumping, swimming and trekking. River Rafting

River rafting in Ötztal stands for white water adventures on rushing mountain brooks. Tours are available for all ages, preferences and skill levels - even for little adventurers over 4 years, who can take part in a Pirates' Tour together with the whole family, followed by a fun-packed treasure hunt. One of Europe's most frequented river rafting areas is breathtaking "Imster Schlucht". Memorable adventures await you also on Ötztaler Ache and Sanna mountain brooks.

Längenfeld Running Sport Center

The wide open plain of Längenfeld at the center of Ötztal, covering a total length of 20 km, is located at 1180 meters above sea level. The area boasts a 110-kilometer network of marked running trails, offering also marathon tracks. The high altitude training has many positive effects on your stamina and health. Additionally, the scenic routes travel through lush green meadows and shady Alpine forests. And there is an immense choice of easy, intermediate and difficult routes embedded in the majestic 3000-meter high mountains of the Stubai and Ötztal Alps. There is something for all ability levels. The mountain village of Gries – towering high above Längenfeld at 1600 meters above sea level – promises a gently ascending forest trail leading to Sulztalhütte at 1898 meters altitude.

Area 47 – The ultimate Outdoor Playground

The AREA 47 outdoor sports heaven can be found about 21 km away from Längenfeld, right at the entrance to the Ötztal Valley (autobahn exit). An adventure paradise for young and old, covering 9 hectares. High tech features on natural terrain offer everything a daredevil's heart could possibly yearn for! Outdoor sports and adventures, event arena, water fun, themed gastronomy, business incentives platform, plus many more highlights – This unique adventure playground on the 47th parallel leaves nothing to be desired.
